This practical course equips teachers with the tools and confidence to transform local hikes into meaningful interdisciplinary learning experiences.

Designed in line with EU priorities on environmental sustainability and digital transformation, the course helps educators integrate subjects such as geography, biology, foreign languages, natural sciences, digital skills  and digital mapping tools into outdoor activities that are low-cost, inclusive and that are easy to organize within their schools or organisations.

Taking place in the stunning UNESCO heritage village of Rimetea, nestled in the heart of Transylvania, this course blends hands-on workshops, methodology sessions, and guided hikes to help teachers plan, lead, and reflect on educational excursions that bridge classroom knowledge with real-world exploration.
